Search Engine Optimization
<h1><h2><h3>
3 Tips:
1. Choose your Keywords/phrases wisely
2. Use the appropriate markup in your pages
3. Put your Ad where the Buyers are
The single most cost effective web marketing practice is to optimize your web site for search engines. With a solid search engine strategy, your web site will not only earn more traffic, but it will gain QUALITY traffic. After all, if you are not reaching the right people you cannot make sales.
Through all of our web site and web application projects, we try to incorporate our Search Engine Optimization Services to help our clients gain access to that coveted 1st page in Google!
What does "optimize your web site for search engines" mean? When a person types a search term into Google or Yahoo for example, the search engine delivers a list of websites, ranked by relevance to the word that was entered. Your goal as a web marketer is to have your site rank as high as possible when potential customers are searching for products or services that your website delivers. The higher placed your site is in the search results, the easier it will be for customers to find your products and services.
How is SEO "most cost effective"?
In contrast to spending money on advertising, PR and direct mail, marketing efforts that try to get potential customers interested in you, optimizing your site for better search results just makes it easier for those already interested in your business to find you. You could potentially see a hundred-fold increase in the traffic to your site by following good SEO principles.
Why SEO?
According to Jupiter Research:
Only 17% of searchers will travel beyond the 1st search engine results page and only 7% venture beyond Page-2!
Online population will increase 44% from 2007 to 2012.
54% of all Internet users conduct DAILY searches on search engines and 32% of all users conduct MUTIPLE searches every day.
So what does this all mean? Not only are more and more people turning to the internet to make decisions, but they demand relevant results and most will perform another search if they can’t find what they are looking for on Page-1. You must have good search engine positions to get traffic…and it will simply not happen without effort.
Our Process
Before we implement an SEO strategy we thoroughly research your company, website, competition, and the organic space in which you choose to target. It is important to know who you are targeting and what keywords are possible to rank for. Some terms are so competitive in the organic space, it will be impossible to achieve top position. The important thing is to choose keywords that you are able to rank for as well as close the sale. Remember, quality is more important than quantity.
After understanding your company, website, and competition we are able to make the appropriate recommendations and changes to improve your search engine rank.
What We Need From You?
1. FTP Access to your site: In order for us to make the necessary changes to your web site, we will need FTP access to modify the files used by your site. If you are currently using a web-based system to update portions of your site, we will need a login account to access those features as well.
The FTP login and connection information is something that can be attained from a previous web developer, or directly through the company that hosts your web site. We are happy to contact either the previous developer, or hosting company to help get the needed information.
2. Desired Keywords and Key Phrases: Although we will evaluate your web site and your competitors’ websites to find relevant keywords and key phrases, we ask that you send us a list of at least 10 keywords or phrases that we can target in our optimization efforts.
As a general rule, single keywords such as ‘football’ or ‘horse’, are not nearly as effective as key phrases such as ‘official NFL football’, or ‘brown Belgian Draft Horse’. For this reason, we recommend that you focus your list on key phrases, rather than keywords.
We ask that you send us your keywords and phrases via email as soon as possible, as this is one of the earliest requirements to beginning the SEO process.
Timeline
Once we have received FTP access to your site, and the list of keywords and key phrases, we will go to work at getting your site optimized. This process ranges in time, depending on the industry, and size of the site. The average time it will take us to fully implement an SEO strategy is 30 days, but can often complete the process sooner. Keep in mind; SEO changes do not take effect immediately. It can often take 6-12 months for SEO strategies to take effect. If you desire immediate traffic to your site, consider Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising to gain incremental visitors to your site until your SEO efforts take effect.
Why We Don't Guarantee Search Engine Ranks
There are several reasons why we do not guarantee ranks within search engine results, but it does not mean we are unable to achieve top positions. We do stand behind our work and if something we do does not work, we will adjust the strategy to make it work. The important metric for performance is visitors and conversions. Our goal is to drive additional QUALITY traffic to your website.
