We talk about inbound marketing a lot. Like, a lot. How are you supposed to know we're not just blowing smoke up your ass so you'll buy our snake oil?

For one, thousands of businesses see results from inbound marketing services every single day (examples A, B, C, D, etc.). Anyone who uses the Internet on a regular basis can see the changes in the modern marketing landscape. Consumers and B2B buyers alike are turning to Google and blogs to get information on products, companies, and services. If you're not there when they're looking, you're out of luck.

Here's a handy dandy little infographic from Invesp that illustrates the kind of results you could be seeing by adopting inbound marketing. Here are just a few tidbits:

  • Businesses that rely on inbound marketing save more than $14 for every newly acquired customer.

  • 80% of business decision makers prefer to get company information in a series of articles rather than advertisements.

  • Properly executed, inbound marketing is 10x more effective for lead conversion than outbound.

How Can a Small Business Get Started With Inbound Marketing?

Blogging is probably the easiest place to start. If you've never managed or written for a blog before, start out small: one 300-word post per week. Ramp up to 500 words, then 1,000 if you can manage it. The more you post, the more results you'll see. (After all, 82% of marketers who blog daily acquired a customer using their blog, as opposed to 57% of marketers who blog monthly.)

However, always make sure your posts are relevant and useful for your buyer personas. One quality post will do more for your lead generation efforts than a thousand junk posts.

If you're already blogging, or want to start somewhere else, look into SEO, Content Marketing, PPC, CTAs, and Landing Pages.

Inbound marketing has had a profound impact on businesses across the globe - you could be one of them. For more information on inbound marketing services, check out these related articles:
