Written by Josh Curcio | April 10, 2018 // 1:03 PM

Think about starting the first day at your job.

Most likely, after the first week, you were defeated and frustrated with tasks that seemed impossible.

Looking back, the impossible task was simple with a little bit more training.

Similarly, HubSpot is a fairly intuitive software, but it’s not an exception to this rule. In order to use the software efficiently and effectively, HubSpot CRM training is essential.

7 HubSpot CRM Training Options to Check Out

HubSpot has several training paths available, but knowing where to start can be challenging  To keep it simple, check out these five HubSpot CRM training options:

  1. HubSpot Academy
  2. HubSpot Certified Trainers
  3. Other HubSpot users
  4. Local HubSpot User Groups
  5. HubSpot classroom training
  6. HubSpot Solutions Partners
  7. Trial and error

1. HubSpot Academy

When first getting started, the HubSpot Academy is an incredible resource. Not only can you be trained on the software itself, but there are also tips, tricks, and best practices.

What is the HubSpot Academy?

The HubSpot Academy is a hub of video and virtual learning courses, paired with comprehensive certifications to grow your inbound marketing, sales, and customer service knowledge. Did you know it’s also free?

Regardless of your next steps, beginning with the appropriate certifications and training videos on the Academy gives you a foundation of knowledge. This foundation will make your future training more efficient and beneficial

Pro Tip: Even if you have hired a partner to manage your HubSpot software, it is still recommended to go through some of the academy programs.

2. HubSpot Certified Trainers

After going through the Academy certifications, finding a HubSpot Certified Trainer that can build a training program tailored to your business needs is essential.

Not only do the HubSpot Certified Trainers go through extensive training, but they are also required to hold the software certifications and use it nearly every day.

Finding a trainer is simple, HubSpot has a directory of trainers waiting to help someone just like you.

Shameless plug: I'm happy to be a HubSpot Certified Trainer.

3. Other HubSpot Users

While other HubSpot users can’t provide an in-depth training program, most likely they can answer your questions. So if you’re struggling to find the perfect trainer match, consider reaching out to a current HubSpot user in your network or through a platform such as LinkedIn.

Shameless plug #2: I’m happy to help with any HubSpot questions you may have.

4. Local HubSpot User Groups

Local HubSpot User Groups (HUGs) are an incredible resource for when you’re seeking in-person training and building connections.

Typically local meetups are hosted quarterly, where you'll be able to network and learn from people using the software every day. While you probably won't get full training from attending a single meetup, you will be able to build a network willing to help you out in the future.

Pro Tip: if you haven’t found your perfect trainer just yet, there’s a good chance you’ll meet someone willing to train you on your specific needs. (Every HUG Leader is also a HubSpot Certified Trainer.)

5. HubSpot Classroom Training

HubSpot does offer interactive, hands-on classroom training, hosted virtually. This is likely going to be a bigger investment than the other options, but you'll be learning from HubSpotters themselves.

Additionally, you'll be able to choose from a variety of different classroom tracks and settings that will best suit your needs.

6. HubSpot Solutions Partners

Similar to the HubSpot Certified Trainers, HubSpot Solutions Partners are an option to hire as trainers and coaches. You’ll have a whole agency or company to leverage knowledge and expertise from to ensure you’re using HubSpot software to its maximum potential.

7. Trial & Error

We’ve said this whole time to not wing it and use training to your advantage. However, we understand that sometimes you need to get hands-on with the system to train yourself. If you use the trial and error method, just proceed with caution.

Bottom Line...Training Helps

In some cases, winging it may be a successful solution. However, when it comes to intuitive software, such as HubSpot, training is necessary. Save yourself time and frustration by starting with training and letting the software help you.
